The sorrow of her passing will also be felt by the many kind and compassionate caregivers who helped Betty through the last several years, especially Jarid Walker, who for the past 9 years cared for her with respect, gentleness, concern and friendship.  The family thanks each and every one of these special people.

In 1957, Betty moved with her husband Monte from Chicago to Dallas ,where they made their home and raised six children together. For many years, she worked as the Assistant Director at the Dallas Bar Association and helped grow its many resources, most notably, the Lawyer Referral Service. Betty enjoyed traveling, bridge, reading, and crossword puzzles, but mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her beloved cat Sugar.
